Scott's story began in 1989 with the opening of University Exxon on Emmet Street in Charlottesville, VA, conveniently located beside the former Cavalier Inn. Situated near the University of Virginia, the station quickly became a trusted destination for faculty, staff, students, and local drivers alike. After years of working as an automotive technician, opening his own service station marked an exciting new chapter dedicated to delivering honest, dependable automotive care to the community.



What started as a single service station has grown into a lasting legacy of automotive excellence. Over the years, Scott has successfully owned and operated four additional locations, including today's Scott's Ivy Exxon Automotive & Tire. Through every stage of that growth, the mission has never changed: provide quality workmanship, clear communication, and dependable service. That commitment is reflected in the credentials we hold today. In 2025, Scott's Ivy Exxon Automotive & Tire is expanding with a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance both the customer and technician experience. The expansion includes five additional service bays, renovated workspaces, improved parking, enclosed administrative offices, and a larger, more comfortable customer reception area. These improvements allow us to serve more vehicles efficiently while maintaining the personalized service our customers expect.

Our new facility also allows us to introduce advanced services that meet the needs of today's vehicles. Upon completion of the expansion, we'll proudly offer ADAS Calibration and Wheel Alignment services, providing drivers with even more comprehensive automotive solutions under one roof.
